Holy Thursday: is the Christian feast or holy day falling on the thursday before Easter that commemorates the Lat Supper of Jesus Christ and Apostles.
I had a sleepover with some of my friends the day before so that in the morning we could go to uni and get some practice done... which we did and then had a meal of hot chips for lunch. Exhausted from lack of sleep and non healthy food on return to my house we crashed on the makeshift beds for a few hrs. At 4pm we began our trip back to their houses but stopped off on the way for some eggs.
Kit Wing and I got completely lost on the way back to her place after getting the short cut wrong - thanks to my lack of attention paid the first time we travelled there, but come on it was night - After I dropped Kitty I was determined to get back for church on time even though it had already begun.
My journey home was a "lost" cause.. I found myself lost again after several tries even though I knew exactly where I was and where i needed to go... eventually I decided it was a good idea to visit my grandparents. I rocked up to their door at 8:30 and was welcomed in lovingly... gifted with eggs and an awesome camera (film SLR).
Late this evening/early the next morning there were helicopters, sniffer dogs and police in the bush-lands behind my house... they had been searching for and found the remains of the body of Kiesha Abrahams. That's a lot of prayers answered I'd say. Around the same time of the morning my family had it's own moment... something I've been expecting for a while.
Good Friday: is a religious holiday observed primarily by Christians commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.
Customary to my church we celebrate the stations of the cross with a re-enactment by the youth of the parish at the bingo hall. As per usual it was a early start, costumes, rushing, makeup and props. I was asked to sing the responses in between which was pretty cool and went down fine except for the last verse as I was unfamiliar with - but not to worry I know now for next year :P
The re-enactment went well and Jesus didn't fall off the cross... later in the afternoon there was mass at the church. My parents and I went to the hospital to visit my Pa and brother that night... all went reasonably well, but my gosh I'm glad my dad was there.
After a crazy day of reverence and hospitals I was invited to a friends place just to chill for a little while. My friends mum tried to set me up with this guy, but he's just really nice for a friend right now.
Holy Saturday: is the day after Good Friday. It the day before Easter and the last day of Holy Week in which Christians prepare for Easter. It commemorates the day that Jesus Christ 's body laid in the tomb.
Yet another early morning... it began in the church again =P Cleaning the church... vacuuming floors, washing windows, and wiping down pews. Dad was there too with a pump clearing out the baptismal water from the font. After that I basically wasted the day away on the computer + dA.
This night there was a special mass at a near by church... not only was it the Easter Vigil but also the baptism of my friends baby and her fiance =D. At the church I also ran into a lot of old school friends so that was really cool.
Easter Sunday: is a central feast in the Christian liturgical year. It Marks the day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. Easter marks the end of lent, a forty-day period of fasting, prayer and penance.
I can eat lollies again!!!!!!!!!!! That is all... lol just kidding. Today was all about chilling and eating chocolate and lollies. But nah it was a good day spent with family and texting loads of friends xxx <3 you guys. Now I'm off for a lovely bbq dinner, I hope your week was just a busy and crazy as mine...
