Glowy Red Hair |
So a quick review of the weekend, just because I wanna fill you in... and in some ways remind myself of what I do with my time...
Friday night we (Plumpton Youth) had choir practice @ the old church it was weird not having our usual musos they were on holidays Fiji =P. SaturDay we decided to have another practice to mull things over, followed into the night by many Wii games, a rosary, dinner and then Harry Potter 1. Sunday I coloured my hair again this time RED-ish but yeh it was heaps funny watching people trying to figure out what was different about me. We had a final practice and then mass. At home Nathaniel cooked a roast 4 dinner which was awesome and then I partied hard with a friend and her family until 11pm and that brings us to...
Week 2 of this summer unit, which is now complete... well almost as soon as I finish the second assessment due 5pm Friday.. dang that's 2day
Day 4... Monday: WEST SIDE STORY
This musical was awesome... well so I think, you see the first time I attempted to watch it at home by myself I became bored & fidgety, so I turned it off b4 it reached half way. This time I seemed to take it all in quite well. After uni I picked up two old school friends to meet up with a third at her place. It was great to see at least half of the gang there plus 2 new members... One of our friends just had a baby 2 days before Christmas so she brought her Fiancé and the newborn along =D Such a beautiful baby and no kidding on that I swear coz i really dislike it when people say "what a cute baby!!" and clearly the baby is completely hideous... okay maybe that's a little harsh but you get what I mean right - ugly babies???
Memorable moment: asking inappropriate questions about childbirth and saying my thoughts aloud. Also ducking in to see another friend who was sick and couldn't make it.. even though the two people I drove were passed their curfew.
Similarly to West Side Story when I first watched this film I sat through the first 3 songs and then fell asleep. To my surprise I managed to stay awake this time and once again enjoyed it beyond my first thought. I shouldn't admit this however I was felling a sad tendency towards the end of the film, if you know me at all... you'd know that I have not ever, not once, cried in a film and yet that day I was feeling the need to perhaps cry it might also have something to do with being a lady. After uni we (new uni friends and I) headed to the shops despite the fact that I was starting to feel quite sick.
Memorable moment: Picking up a bright red dress whilst singing "I want to live in America" [west side story reference] and watching KW dancing with a naked store mannequin... priceless
Day 6... Wednesday: CABARET
Unlike the 1st two from this week I didn't really enjoy Cabaret... I was looking forward to "maybe this time" thanks to my inner Gleek yes I watch Glee. Anyway I worked out that the reason I didn't enjoy it was because from the moment the lights went out my head was spinning, I couldn't focus on the screen and for the remaining time of the film I was queasy and finding it hard to keep my head up. So I'm sorry Cabaret but you weren't good enough to subside my sickness and write comprehensive notes about.
Memorable moment: buying two Panadol tablets for $1.95 when I could have bought an entire packet for that price... had I been at Woolworths.
Luke 5: 31
"People who are well do not need doctor, but only those who are sick. I have not come to call respectable people to repent, but outcasts."
God Bless
