The Day I First Saw One...

It was on a hot day...
It looked interesting...
I wanted to know what it tasted like...
I wanted to hold one...
It came in different colours...
It came in different shapes and sizes...
It came from all countries...
It had different smells...
It was creamy, but watery too...
After I had one, I knew I could never take it back...
It was messy...
It was refreshing...
It was irresistible...

Zombies!!!

zombie |ˈzämbē|nounoriginally, a snake-deity of or deriving from West Africa and Haiti.a soulless corpse said to be revived by witchcraft, esp. in certain African and Caribbean religions.• informal a person who is or appears lifeless, apathetic, or completely unresponsive to their surroundings.a tall mixed drink consisting of several kinds of rum, liqueur, and fruit juice.

I'm sure you all know what zombies are right... the creepy re-animated human corpses that roam the earth in search of human flesh and BRAINS!!!!

Well usually I wouldn't like to associate with them seeing as they wanna eat my brains and all, but last night wasn't so bad =D, you see I killed 25 Zombies last night and saved myself from wondering the city streets trying to escape via the helipad... okay so I was only playing a game - Zombies!!! But it was heaps fun!!!

At first I was reluctant to play the game, thinking "hmm this really isn't my sorta thing, i'll surely die instantly" - but within 10 mins I couldn't wait to WIN!! and I actually did perhaps it was just begginers luck. It's a very long game but very worth it... and from my experience so far I'd say that the game doesn't end in tears or extreme anger unlike monopoly in my family :/

In other news/ Random thoughts: I'm really glad I slept over @ Bree's last night.
I'm over facebook already- I really no longer see the point for it after just 1 month off it.
FAIL- My birthday plans for 2nyt were to go to the pools - no one could make it lonered Elle =[
I've gotten my passport photos now- but that's only the 1st step.
I still have to write a speech type thing for sunday and yeh I'm avoiding it again.
The day everything exploded - Andy Griffiths = Simply hilarious children's story.
Got a birthday dinner planned 2mrw night- hopefully people come =P
I left a bag of sour worms in my car on a hot day and they melded together... mmm

Into The Woods. The Simpsons/Family Guy. Glee

Dad's Dad age 86
Weekend update: Friday night - Choir practice early in the evening, then out partying kinda with Danica and some of her mates mates yeah we didn’t really know them and 1 of them kept trying to set me up with another but no offence he was like 10 yrs older than me.  On Saturday there was a sports day at my church for the youth... it was super hot but quite fun. During the night I had work up in the mountains (an engagement party) and the caterer was really nice, he cracked heaps of funny jokes. On Sunday we had my grandparents over because it was Pa's 86th birthday, after that I went to choir practice in a dress again -followed by church and then a rest at home.

Day 7... Monday: INTO THE WOODS
This text was our last so called 'movie type' text and was used as one of the final exam source texts. If you haven’t heard about it or seen it – I’d suggest you check it out... it is REALLY funny. The story is a combination of Cinderella, Jack and the beanstalk, Rapunzel and the baker and his wife who all look towards finding their happily ever after.
Memorable moment: Prince - “I was raised to be charming not sincere”

Sports Youth Day
Day 8... Tuesday: THE SIMPSONS/ FAMILY GUY
Unlike all the previous musicals studied Tuesdays content was an episode of Simpsons (My Fair Laddy) and Family Guy (One if by clam, 2 if by sea). Both of them were parodies of My Fair Lady so it was quite funny to watch them after having known the context.
Memorable moment: getting stuck in 30mins of traffic after not being able to turn right on a main street... I would have been on time if some silly person hadn’t crashed damn it – but lucky no one was hurt.

Danica and I
Day 9... Wednesday: GLEE
The final day of the unit.. pretty sad really that it all came to an end so quickly. Glee was our second final exam text – I actually don’t mind the show in fact I like the way it integrates the songs so it was rather enjoyable. After uni I went to the movies with a bunch of old school friends to see ‘Burlesque’ and found myself comparing it to cabaret the entire time.
Memorable moment: Obviously the film itself because the music, dance and costume were brilliant. However the creepy guy at KFC should take the moment coz that was both hilarious and freaky.

In other news/ Random thoughts: Uni and all it's assessments are finished now, sooooo I'm on holidays for another month !!BOOM!!
I'm re-activating my Facebook account today to send out invites.
I'm not looking forward to the drama.
I am looking forward to the photos and the catching up.
I can start my room painting project now =D
I keep having such random dreams... so I've decided to write them down now... just coz...
I'm gonna get a passport soon, should be getting the photos done 2day actually.
Antioch goes back on Sunday... on my birthday hehehehe ;)
I hate being confused.. but i've been doing well for this past month.
Yes I'm a checklist girl... so what?!

West Side Story. Jesus Christ Superstar. Cabaret

Glowy Red Hair

So a quick review of the weekend, just because I wanna fill you in... and in some ways remind myself of what I do with my time...
Friday night we (Plumpton Youth) had choir practice @ the old church it was weird not having our usual musos they were on holidays Fiji =P. SaturDay we decided to have another practice to mull things over, followed into the night by many Wii games, a rosary, dinner and then Harry Potter 1. Sunday I coloured my hair again this time RED-ish but yeh it was heaps funny watching people trying to figure out what was different about me. We had a final practice and then mass. At home Nathaniel cooked a roast 4 dinner which was awesome and then I partied hard with a friend and her family until 11pm and that brings us to...

Week 2 of this summer unit, which is now complete... well almost as soon as I finish the second assessment due 5pm Friday.. dang that's 2day

Day 4... Monday: WEST SIDE STORY
This musical was awesome... well so I think, you see the first time I attempted to watch it at home by myself I became bored & fidgety, so I turned it off b4 it reached half way. This time I seemed to take it all in quite well. After uni I picked up two old school friends to meet up with a third at her place. It was great to see at least half of the gang there plus 2 new members... One of our friends just had a baby 2 days before Christmas so she brought her Fiancé and the newborn along =D Such a beautiful baby and no kidding on that I swear coz i really dislike it when people say "what a cute baby!!" and clearly the baby is completely hideous... okay maybe that's a little harsh but you get what I mean right - ugly babies???
Memorable moment: asking inappropriate questions about childbirth and saying my thoughts aloud. Also ducking in to see another friend who was sick and couldn't make it.. even though the two people I drove were passed their curfew.

Day 5... Tuesday: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR
Similarly to West Side Story when I first watched this film I sat through the first 3 songs and then fell asleep. To my surprise I managed to stay awake this time and once again enjoyed it beyond my first thought. I shouldn't admit this however I was felling a sad tendency towards the end of the film, if you know me at all... you'd know that I have not ever, not once, cried in a film and yet that day I was feeling the need to perhaps cry it might also have something to do with being a lady. After uni we (new uni friends and I) headed to the shops despite the fact that I was starting to feel quite sick.
Memorable moment: Picking up a bright red dress whilst singing "I want to live in America" [west side story reference] and watching KW dancing with a naked store mannequin... priceless

Day 6... Wednesday: CABARET
Unlike the 1st two from this week I didn't really enjoy Cabaret... I was looking forward to "maybe this time" thanks to my inner Gleek yes I watch Glee. Anyway I worked out that the reason I didn't enjoy it was because from the moment the lights went out my head was spinning, I couldn't focus on the screen and for the remaining time of the film I was queasy and finding it hard to keep my head up. So I'm sorry Cabaret but you weren't good enough to subside my sickness and write comprehensive notes about.
Memorable moment: buying two Panadol tablets for $1.95 when I could have bought an entire packet for that price... had I been at Woolworths.

 Mummy's Smiley Eggs

In Other News/ Random thoughts: Mum was cooking bacon and eggs the other day and all of a sudden she started laughing... we came to see why... we started laughing too.
My parking permit came in the mail today.
Some dude on dA asked me to upload a pic of my bare feel... what a weird fetish.
I'm actually up-to-date on my readings - Hell yes!!
Went out with Mum & Dad 2day, bought paint... so I guess this redecorating thing is on.
9 days till my birthday and 6 days till I'm back on Facebook.
On the weekend I became obsessed with taking pictures of flowers.
My Brothers have taken a liking to calling me a Ranga!!

There have been MASSIVE FLOODS in Queensland... like massive, it's really sad so much loss.

Show Boat. Oklahoma. My Fair Lady.

So because I'm a good girl and have been focusing on my studies, just for the last three days I've neglected my blog... But don't worry i'll fill you in on what's been happening...

Basically the unit is called "The Musical" and so each day we come in sit down watch a movie - a musical - and then have lunch, after that we come back discuss it, analyse it, then have a sing along.

Day 1... Tuesday: SHOW BOAT
The campus I'm on for this unit is not my ordinary campus... it also happens to be much larger and full of beautiful big halls and lecture theatres. In true UWS [University of Western Sydney] style the course has been given a new room for each day... which is pretty stupid seeing a no one else is using these buildings due to summer holidays but oh well may as well see the sight while we're here. Our lecturer is an absolute crack up, he's very experienced in the subject has a brilliant voice and a great way of explaining concepts as well as answering questions. I figured I had 2 options from the start... make friends or be lonered... I chose friends and so now i've met a few wonderfully interesting people =D
Memorable moment: "Do you want me to be your make believe Daddy?!?!" (google the scene in Showboat where Gaylord meets his daughter Kim- super suss)

Day 2... Wednesday: OKLAHOMA
I decided to take a different route to get there and luckily I did.. as the route I would have taken, had a 3 car pile up accident. As mentioned earlier we were in a different room which many people didn't realise so instead ended up arriving several minutes late in a confused state. We watched Oklahoma the Hugh Jackman version which was totally awesome - from that point on I was sing  "Oh what a beautiful morning" all day and even the next day when I woke up. There's a really odd song in that musical.. one in which Curly sings to Jud about his [Jud's] funeral and how great it'll be when he's dead... it's so creepy. After uni I went out with some mates to see "Meet the Little Fockers" which i thought was quite funny =d I enjoyed it.. but also enjoyed the company... some mates I hadn't seen for a while.
Memorable moment: pulling up to the boom gate in the car-park and realising I had to pay extra coz i'd spent so long talking to friends before leaving the shops .. silly me.

Day 3... Thursday: MY FAIR LADY
Seated in the biggest room yet one that could house 1000 students David our lecturer made this joke upon entry "it might be a little squashy and you might have to sit next to someone you don't know today so just deal with the space we have". It was quite funny considering there are only roughly 200 people taking this unit. The movie is/was very very long and having arrived home late the night b4 I must admit I fell asleep during one of the last scenes - funnily enough the one without music to wake me up. The sing along at the end of the day was quite fun, it's made me aware however of the number of people who can sing and quite well mind you in this unit.
Memorable moment: I put my hand up and answered a question today... and my answer was right. BOO YA!!

In other news/ random thoughts: I got the reader on the 1st day that has all the sources and readings and I've almost read all the ones I'm supposed to up until now.
I've almost finished reading Harry Potter 4... and once again I should be reading stuff for uni not that.
I've got my first assessment for uni over this weekend.. EEEPPPPP.
I just answered my phone to a private number that's been calling all week, geez who are you?
I've been having some really odd dreams lately and when I finally wake up it's a relief they weren't real.
One of the new friends I've made this week is mutual friends with another... such a small world.
The new people I've met... I actually remember their names so everyday I try to slot it in somewhere.. I've got a feeling they can't remember mine hehehe.

Purple Haze

So it's THE New Year!!! Happy thoughts and wishes to those reading =D.

Btw sorry it's taken so long to write but i've been busy [frivolous procrastination and wondering aimlessly]

Bree and I with pots and pans
On new years eve... during the day... I went out with my Father and Nicklebutt because they both insisted we do something instead of just sitting around the house all day. I suggested that we do all the things i needed to do first like banking money and buying a new stereo how lovely am I right. Anyways there were a few things I noticed... 1. Dad finds it nearly impossible to walk past a shop without looking in.. leading to a long stay in one store - Then when it comes time to leave the store he always seems to want to buy something he has no need for or is insanely expensive. 2. Nicklebutt can not stop eating... I swear he must have stopped for food like 4 times. Besides these things - along with others I noticed - it was quite a good day and we did manage to buy a new stereo which doubles and my Christmas and Birthday present.

On new years eve... during the night... My boss did not call - YAY!! So I got to go to my friends place and it surely was everything a New Years party is cracked up to be: alcohol, junk food, music, drunk people, pots and pans, tears, escaping dogs, drama, kissing, snoozing and loads of mess. Craziness to many, but just plain funny to me =P Great night though even if my big toe nail did get ripped off the skin OUCH!!

No Edit: Purple sky 2nyt
In other news/ Random thoughts: The count down has begun to my birthday hehehe
I finally cleaned my room up and sorted out all the papers, books, music and clothes.
My friends cousin went back to America, But we did have an awesome send off with bowling and games the night before.
I start my summer unit of uni tomorrow and yet I haven't completed any of the required readings.
I have however been reading Harry Potter 4 continuously and have 1/6 to go.
People have slowly figured out I'm not on Facebook and have magically found their phones again.
Frog in dads boot
A frog is living in my dads work boots out the back.
The sky was a strange purple haze this afternoon before it turned black.
Geez I know I'm a stalker but digging up shit from your ex GF from 3 years ago that's just ridiculous.
I eat way to much junk food... But it just tastes so good
